About the role

Role Overview

UX Designer for a fully remote, part-time role (15–30 hrs/week) supporting a retail client’s Digital Product and omni-channel initiatives. The focus is creating intuitive, customer-centered experiences across the website.

Responsibilities

Lead UX design for priority projects from discovery through engineering handoff
Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
Build multiple design options to support A/B testing and conversion funnel improvements
Work within and contribute to the existing Design System to ensure consistency across platforms
Conduct and apply research using web analytics, Baymard, and usability findings
Collaborate with Analytics to leverage behavioral data such as Heap, heatmaps, and session recordings to identify friction points
Partner with Senior Digital Designer, Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders; iterate quickly on requirements
Produce detailed design documentation including edge cases, redlines, and interaction specs for development
Present data-backed UX concepts and rationale to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
Support QA and UAT to ensure designs are implemented as intended

Requirements

5+ years of UX or product design experience with a strong portfolio showing end-to-end work
Proficiency in Figma (required)
Strong understanding of user research methods and experimentation frameworks
Experience designing mobile-first experiences
Experience working in Agile sprint environments
Ability to drive measurable UX outcomes (e.g., conversion rate, AOV, engagement metrics)

Nice to Have

Experience in eCommerce, retail, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands
