UX Designer (Remote)

AAPC is hiring a curious, versatile UX Designer to help shape digital product experiences—from early-stage concepts to polished, tested solutions.

Role overview

Generalist UX role with real range across strategy, interaction design, experimentation, and iteration
Partners closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering and reports to a senior UX/CX leader
Not primarily a visual/UI-only position; you must balance usability and brand/experience craft

Responsibilities

Translate ambiguous problems into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and testable hypotheses
Own UX across the full product development lifecycle: discovery/strategy → launch → iteration
Design and run A/B tests and usability studies to improve conversion, engagement, and member satisfaction
Collaborate with Marketing and Product to align experience design with member needs and business goals
Work with Engineering to ship high-quality UI with strong attention to detail
Contribute to and evolve the design system and component library in Figma
Advocate for “good” by applying a strong point of view on what feels right and works well

Required qualifications

4+ years of professional UX design experience (agency or in-house)
Portfolio showing strategic thinking, end-to-end process, and strong visual execution
Expert-level Figma skills
Hands-on experience with A/B testing and data-informed iteration
Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to non-design stakeholders
Intellectual curiosity and independent problem-solving

Nice to have

Experience with VWO or similar A/B testing platforms
Familiarity with Jira and Agile product workflows
Comfort with code or AI-assisted prototyping tools (e.g., vibe coding, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code)
Agency background or exposure to multiple industries/verticals
Experience with healthcare, professional associations, or membership organizations
