Role Overview

ELM Utility Services is hiring a Utility Locate Technician for the Springfield, Nebraska area. Technicians help keep underground utilities dependable and well-maintained by accurately marking locations to prevent damage during excavation.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using a company-provided vehicle as a mobile office
• Complete a daily route of utility locate requests
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using tools such as:
  • marking paint
  • flags
  • sometimes whiskers
• Use a mobile work system / LaunchPoint software to receive and manage daily tasks

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment:
  • drug test
  • Motor Vehicle Record check
  • background check
• Safety-sensitive DOT role compliant with Federal Department of Transportation regulations
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Marijuana use is prohibited for this position under DOT requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage: $22.00–$30.00/hour (depending on experience)
