About the role
Role Overview
Peloton is hiring a User Researcher to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of its products. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to understand user behavior and to inform and evaluate new features and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research, product, design, and engineering partners to define research objectives and methodologies
- Build and execute research plans using qualitative and/or quantitative methods to answer Product and UX questions
- Work with Research Coordinators on recruitment strategy, logistics, scheduling, and participant incentives
- Conduct a range of studies, including:
- Discovery research (user interviews, diary studies, surveys)
- Tactical research (iterative usability studies)
- Evaluative research (usability studies, concept evaluations, benchmarking, heuristic evaluations)
- Design and run moderated and unmoderated usability studies using flat designs, prototypes, betas, and finished digital experiences
- Synthesize and present findings clearly so partners can apply insights to product improvements
- Create and maintain research documentation to understand Peloton-specific user behavior
- Document and track takeaways to ensure insights are reusable for future projects
Requirements
- 2+ years of user research and testing experience
- Strong ability to analyze, synthesize, and report findings concisely and concretely
- Familiarity with multiple research methodologies and a strong foundation in usability testing
- Ability to organize work across multiple teams and priorities
- Experience with both remote and in-person user research
- Effective communication and storytelling
- Comfort learning new methods/tools; willingness to incorporate AI tools into research workflows
- Degree in Human/Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with additional primary research methods beyond usability testing
