Role Overview

User Research Intern at Sleeper. Join the Design & Research team in a collaborative intern cohort supported by mentors and senior team members.

Responsibilities

Support user research projects and help synthesize findings for the team
Monitor app engagement metrics using internal dashboards
Conduct benchmarking and ongoing monitoring of competitors
Assist with and participate in UX quality assurance reviews

Requirements

Pursuing a degree in a related field with graduation in 2025, or new grad with ~1 year or less experience
Strong understanding of user research fundamentals and high attention to detail
Collaborative, able to juggle multiple projects
Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Curious and genuinely interested in learning (and passionate about sports)

Nice to Have

Degree in HCI, Information Sciences, Stats, Data Analytics, Human-Centered Design, or related field
Experience running usability tests (in-person or remote) for mobile apps
Familiarity with remote testing tools, surveys, or analytics dashboards
Experience or strong interest in fantasy sports, daily fantasy, sports betting, and/or football/basketball

Internship Details

12-week program (about 3 months), with priority consideration for open full-time roles after successful completion
Hybrid: 2 days in SF Bay Area
Remote options: California (non-SF), New York City, or PST hours, with willingness to relocate full-time
