Role: User Experience (UX) Engineer

Build user-facing features and scalable web applications with an emphasis on user-centered design, accessibility, and performance.

Location

Omaha / Remote
Long-term contract

Responsibilities

Develop and modernize web products and interfaces using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Design intuitive UI/UX and create reusable components.
Advocate for user focus across the organization and communicate user-centered design principles.
Ensure web accessibility (WCAG) and strong site performance.
Collaborate with development teams, participate in code reviews, and clearly explain technical concepts.
Maintain code quality and deliver reliable solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements (Essential)

Experience building with Vue.js, Vuex/Pinia, and JavaScript (ES6)
Experience with Laravel (PHP)
Strong UX focus: accessibility (WCAG), UX best practices, and performance

Nice-to-haves (Desirable)

Web app development with HTML5/CSS3
Cloud experience with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) and AWS
Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot
