About the role

Role Overview

As a User Experience (UX) Designer, you will use data analysis and user research to uncover user needs, friction points, and product opportunities for enterprise IT offerings. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product management, and design teams in a remote (telecommuting) environment across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover user needs, friction points, and opportunities using data analysis; generate insights and create user journey maps.
  • Plan and support enterprise IT products and processes, aligning outcomes to data-driven insights and performance requirements.
  • Help plan, execute, and analyze usability tests (including test setup and validating findings).
  • Translate design concepts into functional products with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Build and iterate high-fidelity prototypes that reflect final product functionality.
  • Contribute to design systems and help ensure cohesive, consistent UX across multiple platforms.
  • Advocate for users by engaging end users and stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities.
  • Address technical issues/bugs that impact usability and UX.
  • Map end-to-end user journeys to identify additional opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Science, Media Studies, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • At least 1 year designing user experiences for applications.
  • Proficiency with at least one high-fidelity prototyping tool to create interactive prototypes.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders in an agile development environment.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles and patterns.
  • Experience working within and contributing to design systems.
  • Visual design skills (e.g., color, typography, layout).
  • Experience conducting/analyzing user research (e.g., usability studies, surveys, interviews).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, screen reader technology, and inclusive design practices.
  • Ability to interpret user behavior data and make evidence-based design decisions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and tools like Jira.
  • Experience designing for technical users (e.g., developers, system administrators).
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
