About the role

Role Overview

Senior-level User Experience (UX) Designer 2 responsible for end-to-end UX design for complex mission systems and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and development of user experiences for mission-critical devices, tools, and systems
  • Establish and apply interaction standards, usability conventions, and visual design principles for consistent UX quality
  • Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements
  • Create wireframes, screen mockups, and prototypes to support design concepts and system functionality
  • Participate in design trade-off discussions balancing usability, technical constraints, and mission needs
  • Analyze tools, platforms, and technologies to improve user interaction and system effectiveness
  • Apply visualization and accessible screen design to deliver intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
  • Support customer understanding of emerging interaction techniques and innovative design approaches
  • Ensure user-centered design principles are integrated throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • 10 years of professional UX design experience
  • 5 years within the past 10 years leading or supporting project lifecycle design efforts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant UX experience in lieu of degree)
  • Demonstrated experience designing for complex systems or enterprise-level applications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of interaction standards, usability conventions, and visual design principles
  • Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Knowledge of visualization techniques and accessible screen design
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating emerging interaction techniques for accessible and operationally compliant solutions
