User Experience (UX) Designer

Role: Lead Product UX Designer – Healthcare

Shape the user experience across Hyland’s healthcare product portfolio, including back-office systems, payer solutions, clinical applications, enterprise imaging, and radiology.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to define platform strategy, prioritize initiatives, and align design efforts with business goals.
• Lead product discovery: collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps, build clarity, and reach consensus.
• Design scalable, reusable systems (interaction patterns, workflows, and UI) that handle diverse use cases and edge cases.
• Ensure accessibility compliance by working with accessibility experts and engineering teams.
• Produce detailed design specifications, annotations, and documentation for accurate developer implementation.
• Run design critiques, mentor team members, and promote inclusive, collaborative design practices.
• Drive continuous improvement via research, testing, and iteration.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep the design approach innovative.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, ideally in enterprise software focused on healthcare or complex systems.
• Strong accessibility expertise meeting WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 AA.
• Proficiency in Figma for interactive prototypes and detailed specifications.
• Experience applying and extending design systems for consistency and scalability.
• Deep understanding of Material Design 3 and Angular Material.
• Ability to design shared capabilities/patterns across multiple products/platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to lead workshops and present to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
• Ability to translate qualitative/quantitative research into actionable designs.

• Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and managing tradeoffs to deliver scalable solutions.
