About the role

Role Overview

Join a hybrid team as a User Experience (UX) Designer based in Madison, WI. You’ll translate the needs of clinicians and developers into user-centered UX for web and mobile healthcare software, partnering with product, engineering, and marketing to create intuitive, accessible experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to identify workflow needs and pain points
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile
  • Collaborate with customers, product managers, and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment
  • Run usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate for continuous improvement
  • Develop, maintain, and update design systems and style guidelines
  • Stay current on industry trends and tools to improve design strategy
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
  • Support the integration of AI tools into the design workflow
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary discussions to align on product vision and UX goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/Interaction Design
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of UX projects
  • Proficiency with Figma and prototyping; experience with React, React Native, and Material UI
  • Experience with user research, usability testing, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for collaboration
  • Strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience or familiarity with AI tools in the design process
  • Healthcare technology experience and/or UX design certification
  • Wisconsin/Midwest location preferred; must be legally eligible to work in the United States
