About the role

Role Overview

User Experience Researcher (Part-time) for a faith-based, mission-driven tech client. You’ll uncover user insights to help shape new digital products built for mission-led communities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct qualitative UX research including:
    • Interviews
    • Usability testing
    • Contextual inquiry
  • Partner with designers, PMs, and engineers to:
    • Frame research questions
    • Translate findings into actionable product insights
  • Recruit participants and manage research operations for faith-based and nonprofit-aligned audiences
  • Communicate insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advocate for users and build empathy across design and development
  • Help shape the product roadmap by highlighting real user needs and behavioral trends

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience conducting UX research for digital products
  • Ability to lead research projects independently
  • Experience scoping work for lean, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as:
    • Maze
    • Dovetail
    • Optimal Workshop (or similar)
  • Empathy for users and a solid understanding of human behavior

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with or volunteering for mission-based or faith-based organizations

Logistics

  • Contract/Part-time: ~20 hours/week
  • Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
  • Duration: Ongoing / long-term part-time
