About the role

Role Overview

As a UX Researcher at Phaedon, you will manage and deliver UX research projects in close collaboration with a client team that supports healthcare professionals. The client’s goal is to streamline provider interactions for a large network of clinicians and practice leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and deliver UX research projects with the client team
  • Help develop the operating model for the UX research practice within the business unit
  • Promote design thinking and human-centered design practices
  • Analyze research data using multiple methods to surface trends and insights for product decisions
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including:
    • User interviews
    • Surveys
    • Usability testing
    • Ethnographic research
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate findings into product development

Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

  • Degree or certification from a UX-related program (e.g., Design, HCI, Information Technology, or related)
  • 5+ years professional experience conducting UX and usability studies that informed successful product designs
  • Experience leading qualitative research projects from discovery to delivery, producing actionable deliverables for external clients
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving ability to translate complex data into insights and recommendations
  • Experience applying Human-Centered Design / UXD processes to develop research plans
  • Experience supporting products across the lifecycle (innovation through retiring legacy systems)
  • Familiarity with NPS and Voice of Customer research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to identify and control for assumptions, biases, and ethical decisions in research
  • Ability to visualize concepts and create low-fidelity mockups, storyboards, and prototypes
  • Strong self-direction in ambiguous situations, with solid time management and prioritization
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across a matrixed, multi-tier organization
