About the role

Role Overview

Optomi, in partnership with a telecommunications client, is seeking a User Experience Researcher for a high-impact initiative modernizing internal operations and dispatch systems. You will help improve the efficiency and usability of tools used to manage network outages, work orders, and field technician coordination, using both qualitative and quantitative research.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research to improve internal tools and operational workflows
Design and execute mixed-methods research to uncover insights and inefficiencies
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform product and operational decisions
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align research with business goals
Communicate insights to influence design, workflow improvements, and system enhancements

Requirements

5–8+ years of UX research experience, ideally in enterprise/complex systems
Strong mixed-methods research skills with a data-driven mindset
Experience with internal tools, operations, or workflow-heavy environments (plus)
Ability to translate research into actionable, efficiency-focused insights
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Portfolio showing impact of research on product or system improvements
