User Experience Researcher

Role Overview

User Experience Researcher (Remote) for an initial 12+ month engagement. You will plan and execute research to improve the recruiter and candidate experience across multiple UX surfaces, including AI-augmented features.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute generative and evaluative research across Recruiter, Hiring Manager, and Candidate personas
• Conduct discovery interviews, contextual inquiry, and shadowing with active Talent Acquisition teams
• Design and run usability studies for:
  • Recruiter Portal
  • Candidate Experience Portal
• Synthesize research into journey maps, personas, mental models, and opportunity frameworks
• Research AI-facing features, including:
  • HiredScore triage
  • action queues
  • match score trust and adoption
• Maintain a research repository accessible to the broader team
• Conduct longitudinal studies to track recruiter behavioral changes post-launch
• Manage pilot participant feedback during early access programs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX Research experience in Enterprise SaaS or HR Tech environments
• Experience researching AI-augmented products and documenting explainability challenges
• Proficiency with Dovetail, Maze, UserZoom, or equivalent research platforms
• Strong mixed-methods research experience, including:
  • interviews
  • surveys
  • card sorting
  • co-design
  • tree testing
  • usability studies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex multi-system ecosystems (e.g., ATS, HRIS, CRM integrations)
• Awareness of EEOC and OFCCP requirements in hiring environments
