About the role

Role Overview

Join the UX Research team as a UX Researcher focused on improving user experiences across Excel and Copilot (AI-driven product experiences). You’ll conduct mixed-methods studies and translate findings into actionable insights in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute mixed-methods UX research (qualitative + quantitative) to evaluate Excel and Copilot experiences
  • Run UX benchmark and competitive studies, comparing task performance to industry standards
  • Manage multiple concurrent research projects end-to-end (from study design through execution and synthesis)
  • Partner with external research vendors for participant screening, recruitment, and panel management
  • Analyze and synthesize complex data into clear, visually polished, actionable insights
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and research ops to influence product decisions
  • Rapidly produce research deliverables such as reports, presentations, and videos

What You Bring

  • 3–4 years of hands-on, full-time UX research experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong mixed-methods expertise, including UX benchmarking and/or competitive research
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills, with ability to translate quantitative data into qualitative insights
  • Hands-on experience using remote UX research platforms/tools
  • Excellent project management, organization, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing data-driven decisions
  • 6+ months of professional experience researching AI / Generative AI (LLMs)
  • Education: Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s minimum (e.g., HCDE, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or related)
