User Experience Researcher

Role: UX Researcher

Location: 100% Remote (U.S. based applicants only; EST + CST a bonus) Reports To: Head of Design Research Compensation: $75/hr – $100/hr (DOE) Duration: Contract, 12+ months | 40 hrs/week

What you’ll do

• Plan and run end-to-end research across multiple product areas and audiences using qualitative and mixed-method approaches.
• Recruit participants and design research protocols.
• Lead sessions including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and diary studies.
• Synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable insights for product strategy and design decisions.
• Create research reports, share-outs, and storytelling artifacts that amplify the user voice.

Collaboration & impact

• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to align research with business and user goals.
• Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints.
• Support research operations and knowledge management so insights are easy to find and reuse.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams, tailoring the message to different audiences.

What you bring

• 4–6 years of professional experience conducting UX research for digital products/services.
• Ability to independently plan, execute, and synthesize qualitative or mixed-method research.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill findings into actionable insights.
• Understanding of usability, accessibility, and inclusive design principles.
• Familiarity with tools such as UserTesting, Maze, Optimal Workshop, or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or healthcare environments.
