About the role

Role: UX Researcher

Location: Remote (must be on-site for week 1) with NYC/NYC surrounding areas, Charlotte, San Antonio, DC, or Irvine (ideal candidate locations). Duration: 6–12+ months+

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic design and execution of user-centered research and usability studies to produce actionable insights for product and systems design.
Collaborate with business areas to align research with firm/division/department priorities and ensure client/user centricity.
Plan and run user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Select and recommend the best research approaches to meet business objectives, guiding teams through the relevant UX process.
Apply change management best practices to build rapport, understand user needs, handle resistance, and reinforce key learnings.
Partner with multi-disciplinary teams (including other business areas) to deliver UX research projects.
Provide documentation and supporting materials that influence product, system, or application development and implementation.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

Consolidate, analyze, and interpret UX research data; connect insights to business objectives.
Manage multiple priorities and align initiatives where possible.
Recommend escalation paths and proactively suggest solutions.
Make decisions on research methods for complex technology questions; inform decision-making with user feedback.

Collaboration & Influence

Serve as a resource across divisions; research is used by investors, clients, financial advisors, BOAs, and associates.
Make recommendations for end-user facing technology impacting large user populations.

Requirements / Critical Competencies

Proficiency influencing others in a matrix environment
(Strong preference) Accessibility expertise and familiarity with native mobile apps
(Nice-to-have) Experience with AI tools
Mentor/support other UX researchers on related UX research needs

Establishing and tracking UX project metrics and conducting evaluations
Using data/analytics to understand user behaviors and engagement
