User Experience Designer

Role Overview

User Experience (UX) Designer (UX Generalist) for consumer-facing websites. Remote within the US, but you must be local to the Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, or Phoenix area. Anticipated 12+ month contract.

Responsibilities

• Design and contribute to UX/UI and content across landing pages, storefronts, and content pages in the consumer “.com” space.
• Work within a standard design system and complete most design work in Figma.
• Apply business/UX knowledge across content, search, accessibility, analytics, and product experience to help customers:
  • discover information
  • build trust
  • complete key tasks (e.g., obtaining a quote, learning about products, managing insurance needs).
• Focus on the public-facing marketing side of websites (more consumer-web than enterprise tools).
• Improve SEO and accessibility alongside visual design.

Requirements

• SEO experience and understanding
• Content strategy knowledge
• Experience with design systems and component-based design
• Data-driven UX optimization experience
• Accessibility / digital standards knowledge
• Degree in Visual Design, HCI, or related field

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly range: $40.00–$60.00 (dependent on factors such as experience and location)
