About the role

Role: User Experience (UX) Designer

Contract UX designer to support and improve user experiences across digital products.

Location & Work Model

  • Remote with requirement to be onsite for week 1
  • Preferred onsite areas: New York City (and surrounding areas), Charlotte, San Antonio, Washington DC, Irvine

Contract Details

  • Duration: 05 months + possible extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit current UX and identify user pain points, aligning findings with product goals and technical constraints.
  • Advocate for users throughout the design process and ensure solutions support real user needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, compliance, and accessibility experts to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and refine wireframes, prototypes, and visual assets; communicate design ideas to stakeholders.
  • Apply and support user research to inform design decisions, validate concepts, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Ensure consistency and usability using design systems; research design patterns and address accessibility implications.
  • Gather stakeholder/user feedback and iterate to improve usability and design quality.
  • Prepare development handoff (documentation, annotations, accessibility considerations) and support implementation (design reviews, walk-throughs, updating designs).
  • Track and evaluate post-launch design performance using data and feedback to drive improvements.
  • Lead design efforts on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and influence product direction with user-centered, business-impact-focused design.
  • Adopt and apply AI-assisted design tools to improve design efficiency and innovation.
  • Lead cross-platform UX design across mobile, web, and voice interfaces.
  • Influence product strategy by aligning design work with measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead/facilitate design sprints and iterative design work with Product Management, UX, and development partners.
  • Provide constructive design feedback and mentor peers through design critique.
  • Lead UX strategy activities such as design thinking, service design blueprinting, journey mapping, and user flow mapping.
  • Act as a strong voice for the user alongside Product Managers/Product Owners.
  • Collaborate with a Design Core team on design system updates and implementation.

Requirements / Profile

  • Strong emphasis on visual design.
  • Salesforce experience is requested.
  • Accessibility-aware, high-attention-to-detail creation of interaction and visual design artifacts.
  • Ability to present, iterate, and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Haves (Implied)

  • Experience with design systems growth and adoption.
  • Experience leading design sprints and defining UX strategy and artifacts.
  • Cross-platform UX experience (mobile, web, voice).
