About the role

Role Overview

Remote UX/UI Designer (Level 2) for an educational publishing company focused on accessible, engaging learning experiences.

Contract duration: 1–3 months

Compensation: $40/hr on W-2 to $45/hr on W-2

Responsibilities

Develop and refine user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for web and mobile educational solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally to turn research insights into intuitive design concepts
Help build and improve design systems, ensuring consistency and accessibility
Present and explain design strategies and solutions to stakeholders
Promote user-centered design practices and support Agile development processes

Requirements

Portfolio showing web and mobile design work, including process and collaboration
Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital Design, or related field
3+ years experience in product development, UX design, or related
Knowledge of usability principles, interface trends, and responsive design
Proficiency with prototyping/design tools such as Figma, Axure, or Penpot
Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and inclusive design
Experience working in Agile teams and understanding target user needs

Nice-to-Haves

Strong familiarity with design systems and presenting to stakeholders across multiple levels
