About the role
Role Overview
Freelance Experience (UX/UI) Designer for a Life Sciences / Pharma-focused marketing and communications agency. You will design intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences for pharmaceutical clients across websites, portals, and related digital ecosystems. The role is fully remote and expected to be ~40 hours/week through August 7, with potential to extend.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Art Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, Developers, and other teams to create user-centered digital experiences.
- Take UX/web work from discovery and concept through launch and optimization.
- Translate business objectives, user needs, and content requirements into:
- information architecture, user flows
- wireframes, prototypes
- polished digital experiences
- Present UX rationale and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
- Design responsive experiences including:
- websites, landing pages
- digital tools and omnichannel experiences
- microsites, digital resource centers
- campaign/conference experiences and interactive content
- Maintain consistency and attention to detail across user journeys, components, and design systems.
- Apply brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and relevant market considerations.
- Incorporate feedback from creative leadership, accounts, clients, user research, and testing.
- Create production-ready assets using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Monitor and follow through on assigned work within timelines.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in UX design/digital design/web design/advertising/marketing or related B2B brand or agency work.
- Pharma experience (pharma advertising, marketing, or marketing communications).
- Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills supported by a portfolio.
- Experience creating user flows, site maps, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive web experiences.
- Ability to understand complex scientific/technical information and convert it into intuitive digital experiences.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical design considerations, including:
- accessibility
- claims, references, and FDA-related considerations
- med/legal/regulatory review processes
- Familiarity with agency workflows and collaborative digital product development.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing across multiple digital channels such as email experiences, online banners, and social media.
