About the role
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Vice President of Risk and Underwriting and the Director of Underwriting, the Underwriting Analyst II is responsible for underwriting merchant accounts and determining preliminary or final approval.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite merchant applications by verifying and validating merchant data (KYC/KYB)
- Collect, review, and analyze merchant history and records; request additional information when needed
- Assess risk level and determine the security/risk controls required for approval
- Recommend whether to approve applications
- Communicate and coordinate with outside agents regarding merchant applications
- Respond to tickets/requests from customers, partners, and internal teams
- Collect data for reporting purposes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of payment industry experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (and Microsoft products)
- Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and interpret information to make recommendations
- Ability to prioritize as priorities shift
- Ability to work autonomously while producing high-quality, high-output work

- Pay range: $29.00–$33.00/hour
