About the role

Role Overview

Inadev is seeking a Junior UI/UX & Visual Designer to lead visual identity and user experience strategy across multiple federal and commercial projects. The role focuses on creating user-centered interfaces for diverse stakeholders, including work related to identity intelligence, immersive technology, AI/ML, virtualization, and augmented reality.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute visual design and UI/UX strategies aligned to project goals
Ideate and create solutions that meet user and stakeholder needs
Create wireframes, prototypes, and responsive interfaces for multiple platforms
Develop personas, user journey maps, and content flows
Maintain design documentation such as style guides and design libraries
Present design concepts to teams, clients, and stakeholders
Produce high-quality design artifacts in formats suitable for development and presentation
Stay current on UX/design trends to improve design quality
Collaborate with UX teams, developers, and stakeholders using Human-Centered Design (HCD)
Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint planning by accurately capturing user stories and acceptance criteria
Engage with clients and team members to incorporate feedback effectively
Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements

Qualifications

2+ years of professional UI/UX and Visual Design experience
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Strong portfolio demonstrating Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles
Experience working in Agile environments
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to create accurate time estimates and manage multiple projects
U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a 7-year background check
Current residence in the Continental United States
Willingness to work during Eastern Standard Time business hours

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

Experience designing for various platforms and screen sizes

Work Model / Location

Candidates outside the DC/MD/VA metro area may work fully remote
Local candidates are expected to work hybrid in Reston, VA
