UI/UX & Visual Designer, Jr.

Role Overview

Inadev is seeking a Junior UI/UX & Visual Designer to help shape the visual identity and UI/UX strategies across a portfolio of federal and commercial accounts. The role supports user-centered design work for a variety of innovative projects, including emerging technologies (e.g., identity intelligence, immersive/AR, AI/ML, virtualization, and digital transformation initiatives).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute visual design and UI/UX strategies aligned with project goals
• Ideate and create design solutions that meet user and stakeholder needs
• Produce wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and responsive designs across platforms/screen sizes
• Create personas, user journey maps, and content flows to guide design decisions
• Maintain and organize design documentation, including style guides and design libraries
• Present design concepts and solutions to teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Deliver clean, well-documented artifacts suitable for development/implementation
• Stay current with UX/design trends and integrate best practices
• Collaborate with UX teams, developers, and stakeholders using Human-Centered Design (HCD)
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, support sprint planning, and align with timelines
• Engage in continuous feedback, iteration, and refinement
• Translate requirements into design solutions and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional UI/UX and visual design experience
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design / HCD principles
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
• Experience designing for multiple platforms and screen sizes
• Ability to create detailed wireframes, prototypes, personas, and journey maps
• Strong time management and ability to produce accurate estimates
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a 7-year background check
• Willingness to work Eastern Standard Time business hours
• Reside within the Continental United States (remote acceptable outside DC/MD/Northern Virginia area)
