UI/UX Visual Designer - AI Trainer

Role overview

Handshake is looking for skilled Inkscape users to support AI research through flexible, hourly, independent contractor work. You’ll evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand visual design tasks and creative workflows.

What you’ll do

• Use Inkscape experience to create tool-related questions.
• Review and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world:
  • graphic design
  • brand identity workflows
• Provide feedback based on vector design quality, precision, and design consistency.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience using Inkscape (professional or freelance).
• Solid understanding of vector design concepts and workflows.
• Experience with one or more of:
  • vector illustration, logo design, or icon creation
  • annotating/labeling graphic design assets
  • creating design assets from structured briefs or brand guidelines
  • reviewing vector graphics for quality/precision/consistency
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow written guidelines.

Work model and logistics

• Status: Independent contractor (not full-time employment)
• Location: Fully remote (anywhere in the US)
• Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous; no minimum hour requirement (often ~5–20 hrs/week when assigned)
• Duration: Year-round program with projects opening periodically
