About the role

Role Overview

As a UI/UX Lead at Zama, you’ll invent intuitive interfaces for encrypted data in blockchain contexts. You’ll partner with the CPO, product managers, and frontend engineers to create a design system across multiple products and to design end-to-end user flows for confidential token interactions.

Key Missions

Invent UX patterns for confidential interactions, helping users feel confident about encrypted balances and transaction statuses.
Build and maintain a design system that ensures coherent product identity while staying flexible for future features.
Design end-to-end user flows for confidential token experiences, making cryptographic operations feel natural without obscuring what’s happening.
Ensure the final product matches the design, maintaining an efficient design-to-code pipeline.

Requirements

5+ years designing web applications.
Meaningful experience in blockchain, DeFi, or fintech (and enough to have strong opinions on what works).
Experience as a design lead / principal designer who owned the UX vision and made key calls (not just produced mocks).
Deep familiarity with blockchain UX, including:
- wallet flows
- transaction patterns
- DeFi interfaces
A proven track record of creating design systems that get adopted (not only documented).
Proficiency in Figma.
Strong technical intuition to understand frontend constraints and design implementable solutions (even if you don’t write code).
Ability to make confident decisions with incomplete information and to revise when evidence changes.
Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) FHE/confidential computing, specifically how encryption changes what can/can’t be shown in the UI.

Experience with AI-assisted design tooling.
