Role overview

Design-focused UI/UX front-end web developer to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences for mission-critical, secure web applications. Work with product managers and government leadership to translate mission goals and user requirements into user-centered digital solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver large-scale digital experiences on an agile team
Contribute across the digital lifecycle, including:
- User research and interface design
- Accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.x, Section 508)
- Rapid prototyping
- Front-end development
Build responsive, accessible UI that aligns with national security objectives
Work independently across multiple projects while managing expectations and delivering high-quality results

Requirements

5+ years professional experience (or 8+ years if no bachelor’s degree)
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS or SCSS, and a front-end framework such as Vue, React, Angular, or Next.js
Knowledge of WCAG 2.x and Section 508 compliance
Strong responsive design and front-end best practices in secure government environments
Ability to work with AWS services
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required)
Bachelor’s degree (CS/UX/Design or related field)

Nice to have

TypeScript, animation libraries, or design system development
Secure API integration
Experience with Agile workflows and government digital service standards
Collaboration experience with government leadership to refine requirements and influence design-centered decisions
