About the role

Role overview

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to help shape the user experience of a labor marketplace platform. You will design intuitive, scalable, and engaging experiences for web and mobile that connect candidates, employers, recruiters, and workforce managers, improving hiring velocity, candidate quality, engagement, and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Lead UI/UX design across web and mobile for the labor marketplace platform
  • Map and optimize end-to-end user journeys for multiple personas
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs (primarily in Figma)
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design system (scalability, accessibility, brand consistency)
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering to define features, workflows, and plan sprints
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and refine hiring/engagement flows
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize conversion funnels, reduce friction, and increase engagement
  • Design key components such as dashboards, onboarding, scheduling tools, messaging interfaces, and profile pages
  • Support continuous enhancement of talent acquisition features (e.g., job posting/search experiences)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years UI/UX design experience, preferably in marketplaces, HR tech, gig-economy platforms, ATS/CRM, or workforce management
  • Strong end-to-end product design portfolio focused on conversion-driven flows
  • Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools; ability to establish and maintain design systems
  • Ability to translate ambiguous/complex problems into clear, human-centered solutions
  • Experience using product metrics such as drop-off points, CTA conversions, and task completion times
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design
  • Knowledge of front-end implementation constraints, including React and component libraries
  • Motion and interaction design skills to improve engagement
  • Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and operations
  • Analytical mindset; leverage data to inform design decisions
