About the role

Role Overview

Senior UI/UX Designer at Sundayy (remote-friendly with occasional Tampa office visits). You will design user-friendly interfaces for both client-facing and internal projects, collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure design and functionality work seamlessly together.

Responsibilities

Create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design ideas
Conduct research, discovery, and usability testing to validate design choices
Design GUI elements (e.g., menus, tabs, widgets)
Translate designs into responsive implementations using HTML5/CSS3
Build and modify interfaces to ensure usability and functionality
Modify and enhance existing Angular applications to improve UX
Provide recommendations for new design concepts and architecture enhancements
Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends and best practices and learn unfamiliar technologies as needed

Requirements

5+ years of UI/UX design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating effective software/user experiences
Proficiency creating wireframes and prototypes
Current knowledge of UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator/Photoshop)
Familiarity with Visual Studio Code, Git, and Azure DevOps
HTML5 and CSS3 skills and ability to translate designs to developers
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Ideally located within commuting distance of Tampa

Nice-to-haves

University degree (preferred)
UI development experience (preferred)
Some JavaScript knowledge (preferred)
