About the role
UI/UX Designer (E-commerce)
Join Platter via Parallel as a UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on e-commerce and conversion-focused storefront/product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design wireframes, visual layouts, prototypes, and polished UI screens for Shopify e-commerce storefronts
- Produce high-quality UI/digital design work in Figma under direction of senior designers
- Collaborate with engineering for smooth design hand-off
- Participate in internal reviews and help prepare for client presentations
- Ensure designs integrate usability, accessibility, and performance best practices
- Support launch-side projects (especially lower-complexity ones) under supervision
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and maintain quality and speed
- Uphold and contribute to the design system
Requirements
- 3–5 years of digital design experience with proven e-commerce focus (Shopify agency experience strongly preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating storefront design, product page layouts, UX flows, and brand systems
- Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping/design tools
- Solid understanding of UX for conversion optimization (e.g., product discovery, checkout best practices, navigation clarity)
- Strong communication and ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment
- Collaborative mindset; open to direction and feedback
Nice to have
- Interest in growing into a more senior role with greater client-facing and strategic responsibilities
