About the role
Role: UI/UX Designer
This remote role supports the design of user interfaces and user experiences for Government systems. The offer is contingent upon contract award, position availability, and receipt of authorization to proceed. A Secret Clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Translate mission and functional requirements into usable, accessible, and consistent user-centered designs for Government systems.
- Conduct user research, workflow analysis, and usability evaluations to guide design decisions and validate usability.
- Create and maintain UI/UX artifacts, including:
- Wireframes, mockups, prototypes
- Design standards and UI/UX documentation
- Ensure designs comply with Government accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508) and approved design guidelines.
- Collaborate with Government and contractor teams to support:
- system development, integration, testing
- change management
- delivery of required UI/UX documentation and deliverables.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance
- 5 years of overall experience in the functional area (Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)
- Experience with UI/UX design tools: Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Adobe XD
- Demonstrated knowledge of HTML/CSS principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design
- Certified UX Professional
