About the role

Role: UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer

Design and build user experiences for healthcare providers and surgical care stakeholders, owning the product journey from concept through launch.

Responsibilities

Product & User Experience Design
- Create intuitive web and mobile experiences for healthcare providers, hospital staff, and partners
- Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Conduct user research and usability testing to improve UX continuously
- Translate complex healthcare workflows into clear, easy-to-use interfaces
- Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library
Front-End Development
- Translate designs into responsive, production-quality UI
- Develop front-end components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus HTML/CSS
- Partner with engineering to integrate APIs and connected healthcare data sources
- Ensure experiences are accessible, responsive, and optimized across devices
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with product, engineering, implementation, and customer success teams
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and project coordination
- Communicate design decisions and project updates to stakeholders

Requirements

4+ years of UI/UX, product design, or related experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end digital product design
2+ years hands-on front-end development experience
Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern design tools
Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards
Ability to collaborate closely with software engineering teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare/HealthTech/MedTech or other regulated industry experience
Enterprise SaaS experience
Experience conducting usability research and user testing
Experience building design systems and component libraries
Agile/Scrum experience
Familiarity with cloud-based software environments
