UI/UX Designer– Flexible Title & Commitment

Role Overview

You’ll own product UI/UX design end-to-end for a complex, multi-audience platform. Your work will shape user journeys, interaction patterns, responsive layouts, and component-level detail.

• Flexible commitment: full-time, part-time, off-hours side-gig, or fractional/contract
• Time flexibility: short-term, long-term, or intermittent
• Startup urgency: funded and racing to launch by end of Q2 2026 (about 3 months to stack features)

Responsibilities

• Own the product feel: user journeys, interaction patterns, responsive layouts, and detailed UI components
• Bridge design and engineering in a workflow where the boundary is intentionally blurred
• Work within an existing visual brand system, then implement how it comes to life in-product
• Prototype and ship alongside engineers in Cursor (AI-assisted dev environment)
• Create and document a scalable design system in Figma (components, patterns, tokens, guardrails)
• Surface and solve UX problems using user needs and business goals (not just visual polish)
• Lead with AI across your workflow (exploration, prototyping, asset generation, iteration)

What Success Looks Like (First 30 Days)

• Audit product UX and identify/prioritize gaps, friction points, and quick wins
• Ship meaningful UI/UX improvements tied to the current sprint cycle artifacts
• Establish reusable Figma components/patterns aligned to the brand system, with documented design tokens/guardrails for AI-assisted workflows
• Set a working rhythm with the Visual Design Director and engineering for review, handoff, and iteration
