Role overview

Socket.dev is seeking a UI/UX Designer to design and help improve the platform’s experience for a growing developer community. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality improvements that make the platform easier to use and more effective.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, reliable UI/UX experiences for the Socket.dev platform.
Work with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into product design solutions.
Apply best practices for quality, testing, and deployment to support a robust platform.
Participate in code/design reviews and help improve development processes.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and security.
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
Contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and user guides.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven software development experience with modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Go.
Experience with cloud and containerization technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database management systems.
Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive learning mindset.
