Role overview

Socket.dev is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet evolving customer needs. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, and engineers) to deliver high-quality features in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new features
Optimize existing codebases for performance and scalability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; perform testing and debugging
Maintain software development best practices
Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies
Contribute to sprint planning and deliver on time/in scope

Requirements

Strong background in Computer Science / Software Engineering or related field
At least 3 years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java
Hands-on experience with modern frameworks and development tools
Strong problem-solving and communication skills; collaborative mindset
Proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to changing requirements

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with cloud services, APIs, and microservices architecture
