About the role
Role Overview
DataAnnotation is seeking a UI/UX Designer to help train and improve AI models. You will assess and enhance how AI understands, generates, and evaluates design work—covering interfaces, layouts, visuals, and overall user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Evaluate AI output quality for correctness and performance
- Provide feedback that improves models’ ability to judge aesthetic quality and user-centered design
- Contribute to design-specific projects such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation (e.g., presentations and creative deliverables)
Requirements
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) preferred, not required
Nice-to-Haves / Selection Process
- Apply via the general core assessment, then complete a qualification for Web & UI/UX Design to be approved for design-specific work.
Compensation & Logistics
- Remote independent contract role
- Project selection: you can choose which projects to work on and set your own schedule
- Pay rates (USD/hr):
- General AI training projects: $25–$30+/hr
- Design-focused projects: $40+/hr
- Bonuses for exceptional work
- Payment is made via PayPal (no upfront payments requested by the company)
