UI/UX Designer

Role: UI/UX Designer

Contract role (Target start: ASAP), remote.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement the overall design strategy for digital products and websites
• Define and optimize design processes and tools across the team
• Lead UX design activities from inception to delivery across multiple product workstreams
• Advocate for client and end-user needs throughout the product lifecycle
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define business/feature requirements, user scenarios, and use cases
• Create and deliver UX/design assets such as:
  • process flows, site maps, conceptual diagrams
  • wireframes and mockups
• Present design solutions with clear rationale behind key decisions
• Provide design leadership and guidance to technical teams
• Ensure design assets are delivered on schedule to support the product roadmap

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years designing complex digital products with an end-to-end, user-centered design portfolio (research through implementation)
• Strong information architecture and interaction design fundamentals
• Experience with user research and human factors, including:
  • user interviews, usability testing, task analysis
  • translating insights into intuitive interfaces for diverse users
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, product managers, clinical experts, regulatory stakeholders)
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated industries, especially medical devices/healthcare/life sciences/safety-critical environments
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated products and IEC 62366 usability engineering / human factors engineering
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and/or medical device software (SaMD)
• Genuine interest in healthcare or medical technology and evidence-based design
• Interest in instructional design alongside traditional UI/UX
