About the role
Role Overview
UI/UX Designer working on front-end design and implementation for Brandt’s platforms. You will collaborate with product and development teams to propose and deliver design solutions for new and existing features and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Plan & execute design work with Scrum teams across the SDLC: participate in design meetings, understand requirements, and create wireframes and mockups.
- Produce high-quality wireframes/mockups that follow Brandt UI/UX standards and fit user behaviors.
- Cross-functional collaboration: maintain documented design standards and work with development to ensure approved designs become responsive UI.
- Implement/enable front-end design changes using HTML and CSS, ensuring correct application structure.
- Quality assurance & UX monitoring: track system changes and user workflows to identify improvements or non-conforming designs.
- Ensure platforms are responsive, accessible, and support a positive user experience, including ADA/WCAG accessibility requirements.
- Continuous improvement: stay current with front-end technology trends and run/participate in UI/UX studies to improve user experience.
- Provide guidance on implementing UX research methodologies and supporting testing to understand/predict user behavior.
Requirements
- US Citizen or Green Card holder; W-2 full-time salaried role.
- 3–4 years of experience in UI/UX design and/or development.
- Portfolio of professional UI/UX work for web and mobile.
- Proficiency with UI/UX design tools for mockups/prototyping: Adobe Creative Suite and/or InVision/Figma.
- Strong usability and design principles experience, including creating wireframes/mockups.
- Solid understanding of the software development process and front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of Git (or similar version control).
- Knowledge of human-centered design and applying it to complex user requirements.
- Ability to build/understand user tests and use data to support UX work.
- Accessibility expertise: WCAG/accessibility principles, applying them to front-end design and code and testing to correct issues.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience integrating or applying UX research/testing methodologies and predicting user behavior.
