About the role
Role Overview
Join the UI team as a UI Technical Designer. You’ll partner with art, design, and engineering to build attractive, minimal, and user-friendly interfaces for games.
Responsibilities
- Concept and design new user interfaces for games
- Create wireframes and mockups, including animations to guide development
- Polish and iterate on existing interfaces and UI concepts
- Implement the final interface in C++ for pixel-perfect results
- Advocate for usability and UI consistency across the product
- Conduct UX tests to validate hypotheses
- Work across disciplines—from wireframing and mockup polish to coding the final UI
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of professional UI design and engineering experience
- Strong graphic design skills (typography, color, minimal aesthetics)
- Proficiency with C#, C++, or C (for prototyping interfaces)
- Experience with industry-standard tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Ability to communicate and apply a user-centered design process
- Experience working with style guides and iterating based on art direction
- Ability to develop multi-platform interfaces, accounting for different input methods (e.g., touch vs. gamepad)
- Understanding of HTML Flexbox layout system
- Degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX, Fine Arts, or related field
Nice to Have
- Illustration skills
- Motion design/animation experience (e.g., After Effects)
- Experience with Figma (UI design/prototyping)
