About the role

Role Overview

Contract UI Engineer working remote (work from anywhere in the US). You will build and maintain user interface components for a technology platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using modern frameworks
Partner with designers to turn wireframes/mockups into functional interfaces
Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility while following the design system
Improve UI performance by identifying and fixing rendering and load-time bottlenecks
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow accessibility best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript with experience in React or Vue.js
Strong responsive design skills and experience with SASS or LESS
Solid UI/UX understanding and ability to deliver pixel-perfect implementations
Familiarity with state management (Redux or Context API) and asynchronous programming
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines

Nice-to-Haves

Experience implementing accessibility standards at the component level
Experience optimizing front-end performance (rendering/load time)
