Role Overview

UI Engineer (Remote) — contract

Build and maintain UI components for a technology platform.
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable front-end solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI components using modern frameworks.
Collaborate with designers to convert wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility while maintaining design system consistency.
Optimize UI performance by identifying and resolving rendering and load-time bottlenecks.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices and accessibility standards.

Requirements

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with experience in React or Vue.js.
Responsive design experience.
CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
Strong UI/UX understanding and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs.
Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API) and asynchronous programming.
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.
