About the role

UI Engineer (Remote)

Contract UI engineering role working on a technology platform.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance UI components.
Collaborate with designers to turn wireframes/mockups into functional interfaces.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility while following the design system.
Improve UI performance by diagnosing issues in rendering and load times.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow accessibility best practices.

Requirements

Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with modern framework experience (React or Vue.js).
Responsive design experience and familiarity with CSS preprocessors (Sass or LESS).
Solid understanding of UI/UX and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs.
Experience with state management (Redux and/or Context API) and asynchronous programming.
Git knowledge and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (design + engineering) to deliver scalable UI.

Pay / Type

Contract
$30–$70/hour
