About the role

Role Overview

Contract UI Engineer (Remote) for building and maintaining user interface components for a technology platform. You will collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to deliver responsive, accessible, and high-quality UI.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using modern frameworks
Collaborate with designers to convert wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility while maintaining design system consistency
Optimize UI performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in rendering and load times
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow accessibility best practices

Required Skills

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with modern frameworks such as React or Vue.js
Responsive design principles
Experience with CSS preprocessors (Sass or LESS)
Strong UI/UX understanding and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs
Familiarity with state management (Redux or Context API) and asynchronous programming
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working closely with design systems and delivering user engagement improvements through UI

Contract Details

Remote (work from anywhere)
Rate: $30–$70/hour
