UI Engineer (Remote)

UI Engineer (Remote) — Contract

Build and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance UI components for a technology platform. Work with cross-functional teams and designers to translate wireframes and mockups into production interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with designers to turn wireframes/mockups into functional interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility while maintaining design system consistency.
• Improve UI performance by diagnosing and resolving rendering and load-time bottlenecks.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with experience in React or Vue.js.
• Experience with responsive design and CSS preprocessors (Sass or Less).
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to deliver pixel-perfect implementations.
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience working closely with design teams to maintain design system consistency.
