About the role

Role Overview

Hire Feed is hiring a UI Engineer (Remote) on a contract basis for a client in the software/technology space. You will build and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance UI components and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement responsive, accessible, performant UI components using modern frameworks.
Work with designers to convert wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility while maintaining design system consistency.
Improve UI performance by diagnosing and resolving rendering and load-time bottlenecks.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following accessibility best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in React or Vue.js.
Experience with responsive design and CSS preprocessors (Sass or LESS).
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs.
Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API) and asynchronous programming.
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines for deployments.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working within or maintaining a design system.
Prior work optimizing UI rendering/performance and accessibility.

Contract Details

Remote: Work from anywhere
Pay: $30–$70/hour
