UI Engineer | $90/hr Remote

Role Overview

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a UI Engineer (JavaScript Developer) for a remote contract role (10–40 hrs/week). You’ll build and optimize robust frontend solutions using advanced JavaScript and modern UI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable frontend applications using advanced JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into intuitive interfaces.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor junior developers while enforcing best practices and code quality.
• Implement modern frontend frameworks/libraries for maintainable, scalable applications.
• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and advocate for clean, efficient code.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, including identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building sophisticated web applications with JavaScript.
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and state management tools.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Proven ability to drive frontend architecture and lead development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization and responsive design.
