Role overview

Senior hands-on UI Architect / Lead (Individual Contributor) responsible for architecting and delivering scalable, secure, high-performance frontend systems for a unified AI-enabled application platform. You will own backend architecture decisions while building frontend services, APIs, data systems, and integrations that enable workflow orchestration, collaboration, and intelligent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable frontend systems and microservices for workflow-driven, AI-enabled application experiences
• Design API-first architectures (REST/GraphQL/event-driven) for modular, extensible platform capabilities
• Build systems for collaboration workflows, evaluation pipelines, and artifact generation/storage
• Develop a centralized system of record for structured data and domain workflows
• Integrate backend services with enterprise systems, analytics platforms, and data pipelines
• Enable AI-driven workflows via backend orchestration layers that work with structured and unstructured data
• Implement cloud-native backend architecture leveraging Azure services for resilient, event-driven performance:
  • AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Services
• Add security, governance, and compliance controls (e.g., restricted attributes, enterprise policy alignment)
• Design systems for uploaded artifacts, external datasets, and document processing pipelines
• Use Claude AI extensively to accelerate backend engineering (debugging, design, documentation) and establish AI-assisted engineering practices
• Maintain strong engineering standards: testing, observability, reliability, production readiness

Required qualifications

• 15+ years software engineering experience
• 5+ years at Architect / Principal IC level
• Proven experience designing/delivering large-scale backend and distributed systems
• Demonstrated ownership of architecture and delivery for enterprise-grade backend platforms
• Experience in embedded/forward-deployed engineering models collaborating with product teams
• Extensive hands-on experience on production-grade systems
• Extensive usage of Claude AI (or equivalent AI coding assistants) to accelerate backend development
