About the role

Role overview

Design, build, and maintain the Alliance Claims processing front-end application. Create a component-based, testable, well-integrated UI library and contribute to UI/UX design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop secure, efficient, and visually polished user interfaces using Angular with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS
  • Build adaptable UI solutions using modern front-end and security best practices
  • Implement complex UI components through research and analysis
  • Lead product-analysis tasks and conduct performance testing
  • Maintain a clear dependency chain for app logic and file structure
  • Create wireframing documents and support UI/UX collaboration
  • Collaborate with developers, QE (QA) team members, and business teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality
  • Interact with support staff to investigate and resolve production helpdesk bugs and bottlenecks
  • Participate in architectural discussions and provide status updates
  • Demonstrate new features to business analysts, QA/QE, and Support staff
  • Identify process/programming/architecture improvements for performance, reliability, and stability
  • Document and manage development tasks using TFS

Requirements

  • 6 years of computer science–related experience (or 4 years with a Bachelor’s degree)
  • Experience in web application development (and/or database development, BI applications development, and/or related big data systems)
  • Strong Angular front-end development with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS
  • Ability to build reusable, testable components/modules
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatible code
  • Knowledge of API security and Authorization/Authentication best practices
  • Experience writing and running unit tests and e2e test suites (with Protractor or a reasonable alternative)
  • Proficiency with VS/VSCode and SSMS
  • Git and branching concepts for CI/CD
  • Documentation skills (e.g., inline docs using JSDoc)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree, MCPD certification
  • Prior experience with a behavior healthcare agency
  • Microsoft certified training related to the position
  • Familiarity with Telerik components and knowledgebase
  • In tune with emerging AI technologies

Location / work setup

  • Full-time remote, but the selected candidate must reside in North Carolina
  • Occasional travel may be required to onsite meetings at the Home Office in Morrisville, NC
