About the role
Role Overview
Zoic Labs is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a project-based engagement with an expected start date of June 2026 (6 months). The role focuses on creating and refining user interface concepts and designs for applications across platforms including web, desktop, AR/VR, and mobile/app experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and champion engaging user interfaces across a variety of client platforms
- Collaborate with leadership, product managers, engineers, and fellow designers
- Translate conceptual wireframes into high-fidelity, intuitive final designs
- Produce UI/UX designs, prototypes, and design assets that communicate concepts clearly
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and improve UX
Requirements
- Updated portfolio demonstrating UI/UX skills for digital products
- Strong ability to articulate UI/UX design thinking and decisions
- Solid understanding of visual hierarchy, layout design, and usability design
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of information architecture
- Experience with Jira
- Proficiency with design tools: Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin, Google Slides
- US citizenship required

Work Location & Security
- Remote work accepted within the U.S. (company based in Los Angeles)
- No relocation cost coverage
- A current DoD clearance is not required, but you may need to obtain one/government access after offer; must be able to maintain it if required.
