About the role

Role Overview

You’ll work as a TypeScript Developer (AI Training), evaluating and critiquing AI-generated TypeScript code. This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract where your expertise shapes how AI systems understand type logic, architecture decisions, and modern best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated TypeScript for:
    • correctness
    • type safety
    • adherence to modern best practices
  • Solve complex problems using idiomatic TypeScript, including:
    • generics
    • utility types
    • modern frameworks
  • Provide detailed, structured feedback to help AI models understand:
    • architectural decisions
    • type logic
  • Identify weaknesses in AI-generated code (from subtle type errors to bigger design flaws) and explain how to fix them
  • Write clear technical summaries that connect strong type systems with AI understanding
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, including:
    • static typing
    • generics, interfaces
    • conditional types and utility types
  • 3–5 years hands-on experience with modern frontend/full-stack frameworks such as:
    • React, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, or Nuxt.js
  • Strong architectural judgment (understanding not only what works, but why)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self-directed and reliable when working independently
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, model evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Familiarity with code review or technical documentation
  • Background in developer tooling, type system design, or compiler theory
  • Prior freelance/contract development experience

Contract & Commitment

  • Hourly contract, 10–40 hours/week
  • Fully remote
  • Potential for ongoing work/contract extension
